LEFT ASTRAY – “Confines.” [EP] (2013)
Southern California’s LEFT ASTRAY have released this EP in Summer last year, so it’s still very fresh and worth your attention. Very emotional, dark, heavy and… kind of screamo-ish I think. I’m not sure why, but it reminds me of Swedish band called MELEEH, who were one of the first emotional hardcore bands I really stuck to. LEFT ASTRAY produce less melodic, yet much heavier and darker parts, breaking beyond conventional boundaries of the genre, but still – sharing the same passionate understanding of how passion and heartfelt lyrics should be framed in hardcore music. Highly recommended.
