LEGIONS have long toiled in the local Sydney scene, their blasting riffs earning them early praise but line up changes and personal commitments saw their potential falter. “Apparition Songs” is the completion of the band’s triumphant comeback. Having released “The Gravestone Path” tape and a split with Newcastle’s Downside on Death’s Grip Records, “Apparition Songs” marks the band’s first full release and their debut with Broken Hive Records.
“Apparition Songs” is four tracks of incendiary metallic hardcore blending many influences, reflecting the band’s own mixed pedigree and changing musical landscape. Still hard and heavy, Legionsapproach is more intricate than most, and their finest material to date can be found on this record.
