LIGHT YOUR ANCHOR – “This Path” video

1 min read

In between their busy schedule playing tons of shows and festivals, LIGHT YOUR ANCHOR didn’t only release their ‘Indian Summer’ EP, but also a brand new video for ‘This Path’ featuring Wesley Thompson from CLIMATES, which can be found on ‘Hopesick’!

LIGHT YOUR ANCHOR is a Melodic Hardcore Band out of Hamburg found around the end of 2011. It are basically the SXE members of ‘Between Love And Madness’ starting a new project without making any compromises in sound and lyrics. Approaching their music as a tribute to the oldschool melodic stuff they grew up with, like Satanic Surfers, Belvedere, Have Heart etc., they created an unreversible sound.

By mixing up their fast and technical style with hard breakdowns and screaming vocals, they ended up releasing their first EP called “Peter Pan Syndrome” on vinyl through Anchored Records. A special edition of their “Peter Pan Syndrome” EP has also been released digitally in early 2012 through Acuity.Music including 2 previously unreleased tracks. For people who favour CDs, they have also released their EP via Bruised & Broken Records in the Summer of 2012.

All their hard work was rewarded by getting the chance to share the stage with great Bands like H20, Parkway Drive, Evergreen Terrace, Stick To Your Guns and many more. After almost a year of touring, LIGHT YOUR ANCHOR were ready to hit the Studio to record their first full length. During the writing process for the “Peter Pan EP” the band converted several singers to do some guestvocals, like Steve Rawles (Belvedere), Jasper (A Traitor Like Judas) or Pablo Sanchez (Billy the Kid) and before even one note of the new album had been recorded, now Jonny from Liferuiner agreed to lend his voice to a song.

In 2013 LIGHT YOUR ANCHOR will release their first full-length called “Hopesick” via Let it Burn Records. “Chris from Let it Burn was very enthusiastic from the first moment on, so it was a very easy decision to sign a contract with his label.”
