London noise punk rock act USA NAILS premiere third album “Shame Spiral”!

1 min read

London based noise-punks USA NAILS have teamed up with us to give you an early exclusive stream of their their third album, ‘Shame Spiral’, slated for a June 16th release on French DIY stalwarts Bigout Records and one of London’s newest underground labels, Hominid Sounds. These guys recorded this new offering live, and the instinctive and straightforward way in which they approach writing and recording has resulted in a fiercely compelling record that is as endearing as it is primitive. USA NAILS have the good sense to utilize their obvious influences as means to create their own sound, while cultivating this specific alt noise rockish brand of punk. These fellas remain vital as ever and we’re pleased to give you “Shame Spiral” in full!

“Shame Spiral” by USA NAILS is out June 16th via Bigoût Records (FR) and Hominid Sounds (UK).

Guitarist Gareth Thomas described the record by saying:

“Shame Spiral is our third full length and we are super proud of it. On it, there are songs about television, the fetishisation of vinyl, Kraftwerk and Phil Spector. It was recorded live with minimal overdubs by Wayne at Bear Bites Horse in London. Danny did the artwork. We think it’s our best and weirdest record to date.”

And commented on the band’s upcoming tour dates:

“Touring is great. We’ve made so many friends through playing shows, so we are looking forward to catching up with old ones, as well as making new ones. The headaches and the sweat and the alcohol induced existential dread aren’t enough to put a dampener on it for us. No way.”

No less loud, brash or direct as their previous album, Shame Spiral brilliantly captures the band’s descent into the dark depths that their beloved post-punk, noise-rock and no-wave predecessors often probed. Their brand of sarcastic musings compliment this stark aesthetic with rants on London house prices, unrealistic aspirational reality television, charity shop vinyl hoarders, Kraftwerk and the gun toting Phil Spector.
