The calendar year os coming to an end and we all have listened to a lot of fascinating records from various different artists from all over the world. After a series of four warmp-up End Of the Year Lists by Three One G, KROD, and Tor Johnson Records, we’re pleased to give you another round of “End Of The Year” series!
The newest round of recommendations comes from Long Island hardcore pack HANGMAN, who have released their powerful EP A Vile Decree in early November via Flatspot Records! One pick from each member. Go!
Ron Seagraves: “Nightmare Logic” by POWER TRIP.
It thrashes hard and reminds me so much of the influential thrash metal bands i grew up listening to like slayer and Metallica. I️t tops their previous record and i like the way they’ve been able to climb the metal band rankings when they started out as a hardcore band
Michael Smith: Bad To My World by BACKTRACK
I love Hardcore, Bad To My World is straight up and gets the point across that straight up hardcore music is still here and isn’t going anywhere.
Dan Mulligan: “Victory Lap” by PROPAGANDHI
Well they’ve been my favorite band for a while and they have consistently put out sick music for over 20 years and this one is just as good if not better than the rest.
Harold Griffin: “Without Warning” by 21 SAVAGE / OFFSET / METRO BOOMIN
It managed to really encapsulate the season when it came out. Also features some of my favorite Metro beats and Offset verses.
Sebastian Skaar: “Wrong One To Fuck With” by DYING FETUS.
They really prove themselves once again as the kings of hard death metal with this record. It sounds exactly how the cover art looks. They’re so good at transitioning from technical riffing to crushing slams.
