The indie-rock and dream-pop band Fin del Mundo just dropped “Vivimos lejos”, the first single of their highly anticipated new studio album, ‘Hicimos crecer un bosque‘.
Produced by the band itself, “Vivimos lejos” is a song of just over four minutes in which Fin del Mundo showcases a much more energetic and direct side.
Recorded at Unisono Cerati by Estanislao Lopez and Estudio Albatros by Nicolas Aimo (who also handled the mixing) and mastered at Estudio Metamorfosis by Sr.Warrior, this song is a perfect introduction to their new studio album, ‘Hicimos crecer un bosque’ (2024, Spinda Records), in which the Argentines continue to blend styles as diverse as indie-rock, dream-pop, post-rock, shoegaze, and emo.
“It’s a song where we use the elements we like the most: a powerful rhythmic base of drums and bass over which we build layers of intertwining guitars, evoking different styles and influences. This time, we decided to all sing in unison with some gang vocals typical of midwest-emo to express the desire to be close to your loved ones in a stormy context where you seek refuge.” Lucía Masnatta
After a live session at KEXP in Seattle (with over 1.5 million views), in 2023, they signed with the Spanish label Spinda Records and released ‘Todo va hacia el mar’, a compilation album that included their two previous EPs for the first time in physical format. This album received praise from international media such as Rolling Stone (AR), IndieRocks! (MX), The Obelisk (US), and Mondo Sonoro (ES). As an independent band, they also managed to appear on various official playlists on some of the main streaming platforms and perform at international events such as Lollapalooza Buenos Aires and Sevilla Monkey Week (where they won Radio3’s Battle of the Bands). In 2024, they joined the Fender Next program by the prestigious instrument brand, which supports the creation and dissemination of independent music. The blend of styles and the authenticity of Fin del Mundo’s lyrics have made them one of the most promising bands in the international indie-rock scene.
To celebrate the new single and the upcoming release of their new album, the band will be touring Argentina, Spain, France, Switzerland, Brazil, Mexico, and Chile.
