Being active in the local scene, METRO CULT has performed alongside both local and international bands, including Peter Murphy of BAUHAUS, ZOUNDS, UK DECAY, BEASTMILK, and CHAOS UK, and has toured to major European cities. Their first 7’’ single, New Space b/w Ghost, was released 2013 on the Copenhagen based non-profit label Adult Crash Records. Now, they are awaiting the release of their second ep, ‘Transparent,’ due to be released on May 14 on Mass Media Records.
METRO CULT from Copenhagen is a four piece wave-punk band that formed during the Winter of 2011 out of their local DIY music scene. After a few member changes, the band today consists of Christoffer Bagge on guitar, Johan Schultz on drums, Johannah Jørgensen on synth, and Mathias Lodahl on bass.
