2 mins read

MILES AWAY will hit the road once again in November and December, this time to celebrate their 10th anniversary as a band. The ‘Make It A Decade’ Tour will see the band share the stage with very special friends, the hardcore juggernaut CRUEL HAND (USA) and fellow Perth wild ones THE OTHERS.

Here’s the rest of the official announcement:

From releasing 3 full length albums and touring worldwide for a decade, MILES AWAY have cemented themselves as one of the most respected and celebrated bands in Australian Hardcore. Throughout the country, their distinct style is adored and has led to some of the most memorable shows in recent history. “We never thought we would make it to 10 years as a band”, says vocalist Nick Horsnell, “We have seen so many places and met so many people, now we want to bring it all together with some friends who have made it so special.” After 10 years playing on floors, stages and everything in between, MILES AWAY will return to embark on one of their most exciting tours yet in celebration of their legacy.

Hailing from Portland, Maine, CRUEL HAND lead the new wave of American hardcore. This will be CRUEL HAND’s third visit to Australia following their wildly successful 2011 tour which saw them packing out venues all across the country. Their blend of NYHC and thrash gets the dance floor moving and their energetic precision on stage has kept them on top of their game over the course of 3 albums and constant touring. Returning to Australia to play favourites from all their releases, they might just have some new tunes to show their Australian faithful.

THE OTHERS are clawing their way to the top of the Australian scene. Playing hard in Perth and looking to take on the rest of the country, THE OTHERS combine fast frantic hardcore with that traditional Perth groove and are one of the most exciting new bands coming out of the area. With a new 7” release titled Sun and Sea coming soon on Suppression Records, the future looks bright for THE OTHERS.

The ‘Make It A Decade’ Tour will see MILES AWAY head up an impressive triple bill of bands for a string of intimate shows that you will not want to miss. Tickets will be limited so be sure to mark these dates on the calendar in celebration of the milestone that Miles Away have reached.
