MILLENCOLIN interviews ANGERS CURSE

MILLENCOLIN recently conducted an interview with ANGERS CURSE bassist Andreas Woody Skogmo, who happens to be a huge fan of the band.

1. Please make a short introduction of your band!
Angers Curse is a punk/hardcore band from Västerås, Sweden. Started out in 2007 and have since released a seven inch and an album. The album “Tighten the Screws” came out last year on Monument / World vs. Cometh.
2. We are stoked that you’re playing at our 20 Year Anniversary, what is the most exciting thing about playing Millencolin 20 Year Festival 2012?
Since we all grew up on punk in the 90′s we’ve all been listening Millencolin. And still do. So for us it’s an honor to be a part of the celebration of a band that has meant a lot to us both personally and musically (even though we sound nothing like you).

3. Do you have an anecdote or memory related to Millencolin?
I remember being 16, doing an intership at Burning Heart Records. The same week you guys had a release party for “Pennybridge Pioneers” at the castle. It was really 18+ but somehow the great people at BHR let me in and being there hanging around all the bands and people + seeing you guys play was definately one of the best things through my teen years.

4. What type of yellow bird are you and why?
a) Tiny Tunes
b) Pennybridge Pioneers
c) Machine 15
I’d have to go with a). We’re the old school birdies who likes it a little bit faster 

5. How do you get ready for the stage? What’s the “Pepper”?
For us there’s not really a “ritual”. Usually we get on stage, try and figure out what the hell we are doing with our gear and then we just play. As simple as that.

6. What’s your choice:
a) Favorite festival food – Life on a plate OR Death on a plate?
Haha I guess this could be read in so many different ways but since we are both carnivores and veggies in the band I would say a big buffet with a mix of both.

b) Favorite drink – Bowmore OR Black Gold?
The guys in the band would definately go for Bowmore but since the only straight edge kid in the band gets to answer the questions I’d go for the Black Gold.

7. Tell us what crazy bananas stuff you’re planning for this show!
I encourage each and every one attending to bring their Super Soakers and aim them at our singer. He usually ends up bleeding during the show somehow so he needs to cool down a bit.
