Minneapolis noise rockish hardcore punks NAIVE SENSE release new EP

1 min read

After two promo features last year (here and here), we’re thrilled to give you another short entry on the amazing punk act from Minnesota. NAIVE SENSE have just unveiled their farewell EP and will perform live for the first time on May 13th in their hometown of Minneapolis and it’s the right moment to mark that there’s plenty to love about these guys. Their new ‘self-titled’ record initially seems simplistic, but it slowly unveils an array of hidden depths and different takes on noisy queercore, spiced up with an epic closure. I’m not sure, but I believe they sampled Tom Hanks’ wild laugh from The Money Pit movie (1986), so it’s double worth a check :) NAIVE SENSE were a band doing their own thing, in their own time, on their own terms, and that’s how we’ll remember them. Listen below and share!

They offered the following about their break-up:

The proceeds from this album will be donated to MN Trans Health Coalition. While you can certainly contribute funds here, more money will get to the appropriate party if you visit their page and donate to them directly because all of these music-sharing platforms take cuts. The link to donate to MTHC directltly is HERE.

After May 13, 2017 we will be no more. Thank you to everyone who supported us, invited us to play, shared gear, couches, floors, filled in, and screamed along!

The band will play their farewell show on May 13th. GO HERE to RSVP.
