DIE A LEGEND is known by hardcore connoisseurs as Norway’s best kept secret. Formed in 2011 by Carl Christian Lein Størmer and Truls Norbye, both founding members of their respective, rivalling bands within the infamous scene that was ‘Tromsø Hardcore’ – they recruited bassist/vocalist Rold Rydeng Jenssen (of Jabba) and released their critically acclaimed self-titled debut album in 2012. They went on to play every major festival in Norway, supported Converge, toured with Norwegian Grammy-winner’s The Good The Bad The Zugly and released their second album ‘Progression through retrospection’ in 2013 before going stealth. Disappearing into oblivion. Until now.
In September 2019 DIE A LEGEND is back with their first release in six years, an awkwardly titled 10-inch audiovisual spectacle – A hardcore, contemporary commentary on the state of things. Today, we’re giving you a proper taste of their new work, a furious new track “Simulacrum”, not only pushing themselves, but unveiling what passsionate, intense hardcore should be in 2019.
