Following riotous appearances at The Great Escape Festival in their hometown of Brighton and two main support slots on European dates with Royal Blood, TIGERCLUB are pleased to reveal a new video for ‘By Design’. The latest track taken from their 2016 album Abstract Figures In The Dark, the visuals are made up of footage taken from pioneering American photographers Ralph Steiner’s 1930 film ‘Mechanical Principles’ and live footage from the band’s recent European headline tour.
Commenting on the dates, the band said:
“Our buds Royal Blood have been big supporters of Tigercub for a while now, so it was a pleasure to be sharing the stage with them again.”
After a lengthy stint on the road supporting Pulled Apart By Horses earlier this year in the UK, the three piece are now also very pleased to announce that Nelson Can and Shit Girlfriend – a new side project from Blood Red Shoes – will be joining them as the support acts for Tigercub’s biggest headline show to date at Dingwalls, London on 6th June 2017.
The band’s previous singles ‘Omen’ & ‘Burning Effigies’ made Top 10 & A-List on Amazing Radio, Virgin Radio named ‘Omen’ their Record Of The Week, and Radio X saw ‘Omen’ & ‘Burning Effigies’ play-listed, with support from the Morning Show and X-Posure teams.
The recently released ‘Control’ and ‘Memory Boy’ both gathered a swathe of support at BBC Radio One, with daytime love from Clara Amfo, Daniel P Carter naming it as his Rockest Record, Annie Mac selecting Tigercub as December’s New Name and Huw Stephens featuring the album on ‘It’s Album Time’.
With a busy festival season on the horizon, the band will be appearing at 2000 Trees, Westival, TRUCK, Y Not, Reading & Leeds and Bingley Music Festival.
