Norwegian hardcore act LEIVING premiere new track “Systemabort”

1 min read

Bergen based dystopian punk band LEIVING has been around since 2017, but it’s just now starting to get some traction. Their new single “Systemabort” prove them to be ready to start dicing things up and offer a great teaser for their upcoming EP “Brente Barn” (“Burned Children”), to be released in October via First Aid Records. Today, we’re giving you its first listen, along with the band’s additional commentary on its meaning! Check it out and leave your thoughts in the comments below.

The theme of the song is giving the middle finger to the cultural elite, to society in general, and to everyone and anyone who has ever told you to shut up because they don’t like what you have to say. It’s about being fed up with the conservativity of the established status quo, being fed up with the mold you’re told to fit into, both socially and musically, and an encouragement to burning everything to the ground to build something more compassionate, something more human from the ashes.
