Released April 23, 2025, and in the end, you threw it all away is the first single from nuvolascura’s upcoming LP How This All Ends, due out July 28 via Zegema Beach and I.Corrupt Records. The Los Angeles-based four-piece—Taylor, Erica, Dominick, and Daniel—recorded the album over nearly five years, from June 2020 to February 2025.

The single cuts in with a metronomic pulse, guitars locking tightly before spilling into controlled chaos. Around the halfway mark, things begin to splinter. Rhythms collapse, feedback stabs, and in the final twenty-odd seconds, the band burns everything to the ground in a frantic climax. Short, yes—but nothing about it feels incomplete.

“Lyrically, this song is about my thoughts post-cancer treatment, and the constant fear and worry that stays with you,” the band shared withus.

That fear simmers beneath the track’s jagged structure. It’s not melodrama—it’s aftermath. There’s no clean resolution here, only unsteady ground and the hum of leftover noise.

The song was mixed by Alex Jacobelli at Sunsick Studio in San Diego, with vocals tracked separately by Jonathan Kassalow at Sans Studio in Richmond, VA. Mastering was handled by Jack Shirley at The Atomic Garden in Oakland.

Nuvolascura are back on the road soon, touring the East Coast from May 2 to 10, with a yet-to-be-announced show in Berkeley on July 30.

After that, they’ll appear at New Friends Fest in Toronto from August 1–3. A second single is scheduled for June, followed by another track on the Not Just A Phase compilation in July.

“How This All Ends” features additional contributions from Julia Spewak and members of Skipper and Hynoki, among others. Further vocals and production work were added by Erol Ulug and @exartemis_. The band encourages support for mutual aid groups including Metavivor and Inland Empire Harm Reduction.
