2 mins read

Boise oi punk rockers from DOGS IN THE FIGHT (est. 2015, members of ACES & EIGHTS, RIPCHAIN, RUM REBELLION, THE BRAINDEAD, THE BLOODY NAMPONS) have recently released their new record “We Want Peace…But Are Ready for War”, influenced by the likes of THE BRUISERS, STREET DOGS, OXYMORON and AGNOSTIC FRONT, and serving solid, straight-forward, melodic and well played tracks showing that it’s what the fun’s all about. DOGS IN THE FIGHT offer some good old fashioned sing-a-long jams that will keep you going. Listen for yourself.

Grab the record on iTunes.

Dogs in the Fight might be a new name in the market but these are some old Dogs of the punk underground scene. Featuring Jimmy Turner on Bass/Vocals, Jimmy has been in such Boise bands as the great street punk band Aces and Eights, and also spent time with Boise’s metal kings Ripchain. He was also in Portland’s Rum Rebellion for a short period and appears on their latest release “Another Round”. Clark Chaos (Guitar/Vocals) is also no stranger to the West Coast Hardcore/Metal scene having been playing guitar with Washington’s “The Braindead” since 1984. Both Coby Hughes(Guitar/Vocals) and Wayne Williams (Vocals) are no strangers to the Boise punk scene as not only fixtures in the scene but also with their band “The Bloody Nampons”. Finishing up the line up is our green horn Josh Hakenholtz on drums, this is his first band but the man plays like he’s fueled by the drum gods themselves.

The Band has started to play out a few shows within Waynes first month or so, in the band. Playing with great local bands such as the metal gods Kyrstos, Ghostbox and the mighty Phiranas BC. We have also shared the stage with national bands such as Barbe Wire Dolls, Swinging Utters, Toxic Holocaust, Lord Dying, Doug and the Blacklisted and the Delta Bombers. We also enjoyed a successful NW mini tour playing with Hardcore legends Potbelly and Millhous, the multitalented Buttafuko, the crushing Dying Off, Alcojuana and The Devil Bores Me. 2016 has been a busy year so far for the band, opening for Thrash legends DRI and X-Method in April, Neutral Boy in May, along with a successful NW 3 city mini tour through Oregon and Washington. The bands name is slowly starting to pick up out to the music world. The band will have 2 songs featured on Crowd Control Media, out of California. We are also opening for Orange County legends D.I. in July and Get Dead from SF in August. The band isn’t planning on slowing down. We are currently work on a mini tour to the Bay area in September.

Dogs in the Fight will bring everything and leave everything on the stage, giving it all and spending it all to put on a high energy show to the crowds. We are here to make sure that those who are there are leaving wanting more and that they will spread the word about Dogs in the Fight.

The future is looking very good right now for the band and we are excited to start moving forward with our relationship with Crowd Control Media.
We hope to see you all next year when Dogs in the Fight comes through your city!
