New York and California collide as Pain of Truth and Sunami unleash the Coast to Coast EP, out today via Daze and Triple B Records.
The split marks a heavyweight collaboration between two of hardcore’s most aggressive bands, each bringing two new tracks that highlight their distinct styles.
Alongside the release, the bands have announced a U.S. co-headlining tour, kicking off with two nights at RBS Fest in San Jose, California, before hitting the East Coast and Midwest with support from Haywire and Peeling Flesh on select dates.
Pain of Truth open the EP with “Shattered Past” and “The Enemy,” delivering a dense barrage of riffs and crushing breakdowns, packed with lyrics centered on self-preservation and survival. Sunami counter with “Doubt” and “Fence Walker,” a relentless assault of blast beats and down-tuned aggression, maintaining their signature blend of blunt lyricism and punishing instrumentation.
The EP was mastered by Bill Henderson at Azimuth, with Andy Nelson of Bricktop Recordings handling recording and mixing duties for Pain of Truth, while Sunami’s tracks were recorded and mixed by Charles Toshio (Audio by Tosh).
