PET SUN have debuted a full stream of their new 7” on The Hand Recordings, premiered today and presented on Exclaim magazine and below. With garage / blues rock revival becoming the “new old trend” in independent music scenes alongside emo and other styles developed in the 80s and 90s, PET SUN shines bright for its interesting fusion of gloomy parts and more fuzzy, rock’n’roll twists. “Shade Driver” EP is a quality, fun stonery/garage rock recording from front to back. Looking forward to hear a lot more from these guys.
The band commented:
Shade Driver is our stoner garage starter kit fully equipped with some riffs, some poppy goodness, and a bit of doom. It’s a grab bag of sweets- some more sour than others. Dark Planet is our apocalyptic headbanger written for a stoned Darth Vader. Zenifer is our bite sized good vibes pop track which clashes a bit with the bitter Mrs. Warp, which despite its creepy tones is a love song.
