Pop punk act CLEARFIGHT premiere new emotive rock hit single “Dropout!

2 mins read

CLEARFIGHT is an emotional pop punk group based out of the midwest area. With deeply intimate lyrics, passionate vocal melodies and roaring guitars, Clearfight is here to make an impact by creating heartfelt, melodic declarations surrounding topics like heartbreak, mental health, and trying to find positivity in difficult situations. Their new single “Dropout” premieres right here, right now and you can check it out above!

Here’s what Idobi Radio had to say regarding “Goldmine”, the band’s debut single: “invoking calm before the inevitable storm, “Goldmine” is clear in its message of fate coming for all of us. Every instrument’s tone is dreary and resigned, creating the space for Hunter Spano’s raw vocals to hit that harder. The song is a beautiful lamentation steeped in tragic relatability.”

In March of 2022 the band released their debut EP “Comfort in Your Skin” mixed by Seth Henderson (Knuckle Puck, Real Friends, State Champs) and mastered by John Naclerio (My Chemical Romance, American Authors, Brand New) followed by their newest single release “Split Tongue.”

The band has recently signed with Theoria Records and will be releasing a new single “Dropout” on June 24th, 2022.

For fans of: Real Friends, Knuckle Puck, The Story So Far, The Wonder Years, My Chemical Romance

“DROPOUT is about people you had high expectations for in your life, who only used your trust to stab you in the back.” – says the band.

“People can use your trust as a platform to only bring you down to their level, and this song is about the destructive behavior that comes with these people in our lives.”

“Dropout” Lyrics:

I’m a loser, you’re a dropout
Lift me up just to tear down
You’d fill the ocean just to watch me drown
Yeah, watch me drown

You’re such a letdown, now that I know
I’m glad that I can finally let go
You’re such a no call, a no show
So tell me where did the time go?

I tried to find you
At the bottom of a glass again
I sold my heart for a hand grenade
So I’ll just hold you tight and safe

You’re such a letdown now that I know
I’m glad that I can finally let go
You’re such a no call, a no show
So tell me where did the time go?

Where did our time go?
Your love was a no show
thank god now I know
I finally gotta let go

Drift away inside your own head
Can’t believe what I’ve been fallin’ for
Tell me all the things that you never said to me

The truth is my enemy
But I won’t hear your lies again
Throw your words at your feet and just breathe

You’re such a letdown now that I know
I’m glad that I can finally let go
You’re such a no call, a no show
So tell me where did the time go?

Where did our time go?
Your love was a no show
thank god now I know
I finally gotta let go

No call, no show
This heart is nothing more
Where else can I go
When the pieces hit the floor
