Punk band SOCIALITE signs with Jade Tree

1 min read

Jade Tree is excited to announce the addition of Philadelphia, PA’s SOCIALITE to their label. The band will release a 7″ I See You/I Don’t Care via Jade Tree on July 24th, 2015. Pre-order for the 7″ is now available and Socialite are currently streaming one of the tracks, “Chained to the Grave” via their Bandcamp. Cover art and tracklisting are available below, and Socialite will be playing select shows in Philadelphia in July (all tour dates below).

Leather jackets, boots, chains, baseball bats, and glue all fall under what Socialite frontman Jeff Fonseca considers “punk nonsense,” but while he has no problem pointing the finger, he is usually just as guilty of the same historical worship that creates the illusion of punk today.

Socialite are a self aware band that are not trying to reinvent the wheel, but rather celebrate it while confronting what is and isn’t real. The superficial ideology is explored on their debut 7”, I See You/I Don’t Care, which clocking in at under 8 minutes spread across 5 tracks, is a raw glimpse at pure expression, a blown out production filled with loud guitars, pounding drums, and exhausting vocals.

With no business plan or agenda of taking over the world, the Philadelphia four piece have played only a handful of shows and will be putting out an LP on Jade Tree in the near future.

Tour Dates:

July 22nd – Philadelphia, PA @ Lava Zone (7″ Release Show)
July 25th – Philadelphia, PA @ Everybody Hits
