The band will also perform in Richmond, Virginia, at Hell’s Door on May 6, Atlanta, Georgia, at 529 on May 7, and Norfolk, Virginia, at Taphouse Grill on May 8.

Rid of Me released of their first LP, Traveling, via Knife Hits Records (digital/cassette/CD) and The Ghost Is Clear Records (vinyl) on December 3, 2021.Traveling followed Last (June 2021), Summer (April 2020) and Broke Shit Demos (October 2020). It was recorded at The Gradewell House with Steve Poponi and The Bummer Basement with Mike McGinnis. Poponi mixed it and it was mastered by Dave Downham.

The band was dubbed one of Stereogum’s “Best New Bands of 2021.

Stereogum says, “The members of Rid Of Me have spent time in noisy, intense punk bands like Soul Glo and Fight Amp. With Rid Of Me, they’ve been playing shows on the DIY hardcore circuit ever since that circuit rumbled back to life post-pandemic. But Rid Of Me’s sound is a hooky, exuberant take on ’90s alt-rock. The band is even named after the PJ Harvey LP that still stands as one of the noisiest, most intense records ever to get modern-rock radio airplay. Rid Of Me’s full-length debut Traveling is one of the hardest, most immediate rock records in recent memory.
