Aren’t reunion rumours just plain bullshit? A Russian concert agency called NCA is booking two reunion shows for the cult metal band SAVATAGE in Russia, one in Moscow and one in St. Petersburg.
In order to make the reunion happen, NCA asks fans to vote for the Savatage reunion shows by clicking “+1” and if either or both shows get 10,000 votes, they might consider booking them.
Former Savatage members Zak Stevens (vocalist) and Chris Caffery (guitarist) are actually reuniting for a special performance at the 2012 edition of Wacken Open Air festival, where Stevens’ band Circle II Circle will perform Savatage’s 1997 album The Wake of Magellan in its entirety.
Another near-Savatage reunion is taking place at the Graspop Metal Meeting in Dessel, Belgium in June as well as at the warm-up party for this year’s Bang Your Head!!! festival the following month, where mastermind Jon Oliva’s band Jon Oliva’s Pain will perform the band’s iconic 1987 album “Hall of the Mountain King” in its entirety.
