SAXON begin writing new material for their next album

1 min read

British metal pioneers SAXON are currently writing new material for their next album, which they hope to release in January 2013.

Drummer Nigel Glockler wrote the following message on his Facebook page:

Expecting Quinny [Paul Quinn; guitar] down this week, so he, Doug [Scarratt; guitar] and myself will be in the home studio working on songs for the next album before the whole band meet up again in March. The plan (at the moment) is to have the album written by May, then studio between festivals this summer. We are hoping for a January 2013 release, but as you know, things are always subject to change.

SAXON‘s most recent studio album, “Call to Arms”, came out last June in Europe and in the United States in September.
