WAR Records has recently announced their special 20th release, a very limited lathe cut 7″ from one of everyone’s all time favorite hardcore bands, TERROR! The new record is available as clear lathe cut* 7″ with a red screenprinted b-side and features an unreleased track “Sink To The Hell.”, available HERE at StickTight.LA, the bands new platform for “unreleased, unseen pieces of the unforgettable memories, as well as the current mind state that keeps driving and building on the TERROR history.” To celebrate this new project and their new single, we have teamed up with the band’s vocalist Scott Vogel to give you some quick updates from the band, including touring, their take on the COVID-19 pandemic, new music, new online projects, and more! Check it out and be sure to GO HERE to see our recent mega-feature on Black Lives Matter, including special commentary from TERROR’s Martin Stewart.
* Lathe cut records are made one-at-a-time, in real-time, by a real person. The sound is embossed on to the plexiglass, using an experimental process and a 70 year old machine.
Guitarist Jordan Posner comments on the song: “This song is from the Live By The Code sessions. Written around 2011, it was originally a fast thrashy song based around the main riff which was more of an outro. After switching around some parts, we decided to try the opposite vibe and slow down the rest of the song which gave it a whole different mood.”
Asked about their experience with the COVID-19 pandemic, TERROR’s vocalist Scott Vogel offered the following:
“We are all safe in our homes trying to be calm and not loose our minds in the madness of 2020. Trying our best to use the down to address areas of life that get neglected with the constant travel. Waiting and hoping the USA can get a grasp on this virus and we can see less people suffer and life return to somewhat where we were before this began.”
Sadly, gig-wise, Scott believes the band will not play another show this year. “I hope I am wrong.” – he offers.

TERROR started a new website STICKTIGHT.LA last month and have been uploading tons of unseen and unheard songs, videos, live sets and all things Terror.
Asked about this project, Scott continues: “This is also the place to find the Terror Garagecast where we talk all things Terror in my garage.
This is what had been keeping us connected and productive. We are also currently tracking a pretty special Terror release for the near future and after that, serious writing for the new album will go into full swing.”
Other bands with members of TERROR:
“I personally have the Buried Alive 7 inch coming out in aug. Our first new music in like 20 years.
Also World Be Free has new music coming out closer to the end of the year , so keep an eye out for that.”
Terror mission statement:
The endless amounts of energy and support from so many of you is what has given TERROR a much needed life force over the past two decades. We’ve come in contact with so many different people all over planet earth that NEED this community and movement in their lives in the exact same ways that we do. Now, during this time of total uncertainty, we have to do what we can to keep TERROR pushing forward in a positive light, as well as hold strong to everything that we’ve built. We have the need to stay engaged with everyone out there with the hopes of building bonds over current thoughts, unearthed material and maybe even some fun and a few laughs at our expense. We built this website as a means to share all things TERROR: the old… the new… the ugly and the tried & true. We have tons of ideas for different content to post, some of it will require us asking for your submissions and help. Many people have been reaching out to us with questions about how they can help the band in this long and overwhelming downtime that we definitely aren’t used to, and the answer is right here on this site. This is all 100% done by the band, completely DIY style, so anything you do to contribute is collected directly by us. So feel free to keep checking back for new posts, updates, content, WHATEVER… and some guaranteed insanity, for sure; but overall, be smart and be safe. Thank you all.
“Always keep the faith!”
