SOUNDGARDEN have set November 13th as the release date for their anticipated new record “King Animal”.
“It re-establishes that we still rock, we’re still heavy, and we’re still a little weird,” SOUNDGARDEN guitarist Kim Thayil tells Rolling Stone. The reunion album will also contain tracks like “Blood on the Valley Floor” and “A Thousand Days Before”, the latter of which “has a little Indian thing and some chicken-pickin’,” Thayil says. “We call it ‘country and eastern.'”
“King Animal” will be SOUNDGARDEN‘s first studio album since “Down on the Upside“, which came out back in 1996.
