UK based melodic hardcore band IMMERSE have released their new single βSouthboundβ on all streaming platforms, along with a music video that can be watched above. The song is arguably the strongest Immerse track to date, and showcases the bands perfect mix of aggressive and fast-paced verses and melodic chorusβ. Throughout the campaign the band have already had support from Rock Sound, Metal Hammer, Kerrang, Total Rock Radio, Idobi Radio, Dead Press, Gig Radar, BBC, Triple J, Moshville Times, and many more respected publications.
“Our new song βSouthboundβ reflects on being away from loved ones on tour.” – comments the band. “The song expresses the conflict between the highs of doing what we love and exploring new places, to missing our families and friends back home. The visual was created by Ben using shots from his trip to LA (which we would love to tour one day!). Itβs the most βpop punkβ weβve gone with a song and the summer vibe makes it the perfect time to release.”
“We grew up listening to pop punk bands like Blink 182, Green Day & Good Charlotte but developed a love for heavier music as we got older.”

Speaking about recording process and their gear, the band continued: “We recorded drums with Johnny Renshaw at Bandit Studios. We have a great relationship with Johnny and worked with him on a few of the tracks from our debut album βSufferβ. Tim (Guitarist) tracked & edited all Guitars,Bass & Synth at his home studio setup. This was the most efficient way as he could record in his free time and fit it around his work schedule. It also allowed him to change parts easily when riffs needed slight alterations. Vocals were tracked at Northstone Studios in Bridgend with Jayce Lewis. The track was mixed and mastered by George Lever [Loathe/Sleep Token].”
Josh plays a Mapex kit with a variety of Meinl cymbals, Ben plays a Fender Jazz Bass, Tim plays a custom Jim Root Fender Telecaster.
Lyrics
Iβm so deflated
Iβve grown content with falling short of what I want
Nights alone leave me frustrated with my thoughts
Iβm missing everything in search of my own fate
I feel the pressure, As I dissipateβCause I wonβt be coming back
Telling myself that I just canβt give up
Falling behind, but I still find my way
And Iβve been
Spending time, spending time
Finding myself
Spending time, spending time
Finding myselfItβs too late for me
Iβve watched the colours in my face turn into grey
I know thereβs so much for me here
But if you wait for me, I wonβt be too long
I will find my way back to you
And I will find my way
Back to youβCause I wonβt be coming back
Telling myself that I just canβt give up
Falling behind, but I still find my way
And Iβve been
Spending time, spending time
Finding myself
Spending time, spending time
Finding myselfI canβt stay
I promise that I one day will return
I will never let you, hold me down
