Released just today, “Pomegranate” is the first taste of Boneflower’s new full-length Reveries, set to arrive July 25, 2025, on Deathwish Inc. The Madrid-based band brings their recognizable blend of post-hardcore intensity and post-rock atmosphere into a dynamic, melodic, and—as always—emotionally uplifting track. It’s the kind of song that starts strong and stays wired, but never loses its melodic thread.
Jeremy Bolm (Touché Amoré) joins the trio for a guest vocal feature that cuts through with urgency. His entrance is immediate and furious. It’s been a minute since we’ve heard him this wild and it sounds great! The way his lines coil around Boneflower’s layered instrumentation adds another degree of tension, one that cracks open mid-track but never fully resolves.
From the opening bars, “Pomegranate” stays true to Boneflower’s core: layered guitars that shimmer but don’t soften the edges, vocals that burn, and shifts in tempo that keep the ground unsteady. Jeremy Bolm’s feature is a highlight not because it’s unexpected, but because it feels earned—like a sonic meeting point rather than a one-off collaboration.
“Pomegranate” appears on side A of Reveries, a 13-track LP pressed in gatefold coloured vinyl. The record also includes “The Sun and The Moon,” “Nocturnal,” and the vividly titled “I Gazed At The Starred Night All Alone And Blood Tasted Like Honey In My Mouth, Lethargic.” The album follows 2021’s split EP Dolor / 遠来 with Japanese band Lang, continuing the band’s habit of stylistic exploration. It’s their first full-length since 2020’s Armour.
Formed in Madrid in 2015, Boneflower debuted with I’ll Be the Bones, You’ll Be the Soul, later reissued on vinyl through Miss the Stars, Lifesafunnything, and Dingleberry. Their sophomore LP Empty Rooms, Full Bodies dropped in 2017 through eight different labels, anchoring their reputation in the European DIY scene. Armour followed in 2020 via Dog Knights Productions.
The band’s work ethic has remained consistent: tour hard, evolve steadily, and collaborate often. That same mindset is visible in 2025, with Boneflower set to hit the road supporting Reveries alongside The Fall of Troy and Meth. The tour spans eleven cities across Europe this August, including stops in Berlin, Cologne, Utrecht, London, Manchester, and Barcelona.
The full album drops July 25. Pre-orders for Reveries are open now through Deathwish Inc.
