St. Petersburg instrumental trio ANTETHIC unveils new collection of b-sides dubbed “Mythographer” on Church Road Records

1 min read

One year on from their critically acclaimed album Mythographer, ANTETHIC are celebrating the driving and pulsing collection of electronic monoliths with Mythographer B-sides – containing two new songs and remixes/covers by friends: Pijn, Pressor, Eurodeath and WOWOD.

The first two singles ‘Nothing’ and ‘Scope’ demonstrated the band’s will to experiment through cavernous synth passages intertwined with hypnotic beats, this new collection of tracks oozes a gripping swell that nods to genre predecessors Blanck Mass and Forest Swords, all the while simmering in a post-rock atmosphere. Today, we’re pleased to have the opportunity to unveil the full album below.

“We have this tradition to make a complementary release some time after a full-length came out.” – comments the band.

“‘Mythographer B-Sides‘ is a fourth such album where we collaborate with other artists. For our previous b-sides albums we were asking electronic musicians to make their remixes of our post-rock numbers. But this time we asked our friends in metal to make their covers to our electronic tracks. The result in our opinion is phenomenal! Made us think to take guitars back in our hands.”
