STRAY FROM THE PATH drop final album Clockworked, out now via SharpTone

1 min read

Stray from the Path have released Clockworked, their final studio album, without prior notice. The album dropped today, May 30, via SharpTone Records, and is accompanied by a video for the track “Shot Caller.” The record is available in stores, shipping from web stores, and streaming on all platforms.

This last record marks the end of the road for the long-standing lineup of Drew Dijorio (vocals), Tom Williams (guitar), Anthony Altamura (bass), and Craig Reynolds (drums), who have played together for nearly a decade. In a joint statement, the band shared, “We are excited and grateful to announce our final album Clockworked is out now. Available in record stores today, shipping immediately from web stores and streaming in its entirety on all platforms.”

They confirmed that this release signals the closing chapter of the band. “The four of us, Anthony, Craig, Drew and Tom, have been touring together as a unit for almost 10 years, and now it feels like the right time to put the band to rest. We’ve gone on to make amazing records together, tour the world, and have been fortunate to gain the support of people, more than we could have asked for.”

The tone is matter-of-fact but appreciative. “We get to go out on our own accord, on a final record and do some final tours celebrating the band one last time with the people who gave us a great career,” they said. “Listen to Clockworked and keep your eyes peeled for further touring announcements.”

The split comes without drama or fallout. “This is a mutual decision — there’s no bad blood, we love each other, and we love you all,” they wrote. “In the next couple weeks, we will be announcing our final tour dates, and after 2025, we will be putting the band to rest. Looking forward to celebrating the band one last time together for the rest of 2025.”

STRAY FROM THE PATH

Since 2008, Stray from the Path have released a steady run of politically-driven, rhythm-heavy metalcore records, including Villains, Make Your Own History, Rising Sun, Anonymous, Subliminal Criminals, Only Death Is Real, and Internal Atomics. Their 2022 release, Euthanasia, pushed their bleakest themes further. Alternative Press described it as “their bleakest and most furious,” while Kerrang! gave it a 4-out-of-5, calling it “scorching.”

Clockworked was recorded with longtime producer Will Putney, known for work with Body Count, Knocked Loose, and Vein.fm. The tracklist includes guest appearances from Florent Salfati and Jeff Moreira and follows the band’s established balance of aggression, groove, and social commentary.
