Belgian hardcore band SUNDAYS are streaming 2 tracks off of their new seven track EP that are released digitally, on CD and 10″ vinyl by White Russian Records! Read the official word below and check out their solid tunes below.
Sundays started out in 2013. After being longtime friends, the five Belgian guys felt that the time was right to start a new band to put their hearts into. With a ton of experience in bands that are certainly not strangers to many music lover (The Ignored, Amokachi, Omerta) the band quickly started playing shows.
Being five different people means having to deal with different influences and situations. Sundays take all the influences from music that move them. From conversations and everyday situations, and as a collective turns it into music. Music in a style that is compatible to bands as Verse, Modern Life Is War and Defeater.
Sundays’ intense, melodic and heartfelt hardcore songs got them playing with bands like Trial, Against Me! and Landscapes, Strife and Crowbar, doing a UK tour with DRS, as well as playing the legendary Ieper winter edition.
The band added:
Words are not just words. The ideas behind the words are mostly linked to things affected by those words. On the album’s back image, the reflection of the tree in the water reflects that. The tree in the water is in red, which refers to the suffering and pain that some people undergo by those words or the ideas behind the words.
The picture is taken in the fall which is a period when people might feel the urge to be isolated and might have some mental and/or physical melancholy. Sundays’ lyrics are about those deeper ideas, worlds, realities.
Words are not a total reality, it is always a reality of one person.
