Swedish post metal sledgehammer KOLLAPS\E premiere new single “Phantom Centre”

November 13, 2022
1 min read

Trepanation Recordings are delighted to be working with Helsingborg, Sweden’s post-metal/sludge quartet, KOLLAPS\E to release their debut album ‘Phantom Centre’ on 13th January 2023. BEAUTIFUL DESOLATE, the 2nd single from the album is out now and you can hear it below! The track is not only a great addition to the post metal pantheon, but a great showcase of a band continuing to push the envelope in great new directions.

As well as digital download, ‘Phantom Centre’ will be released on limited edition CD and cassette and you can pre-order your copy here.

BEAUTIFUL DESOLATE is about the idea of looking glass self and how a distorted view can make your mind wander off to unhealthy places. And the difficulty to break out of that state of desolation.

For fans of: Breach, Cult of Luna, Neurosis

To extend your listening pleasure, we asked KOLLAPS\E to give us their top 3 post metal albums of the past 12 months and here’s what we’ve got:

Cult of Luna – The long road north

What is there to be said.. CoL returns to form with their latest album. They are a main inspiration for us and they are undisputed post-metal kings at the moment.

Norna – Star is way, way is eye

As a life-long Breach fan I’m happy this band came to life after The Old Wind. Heavy as nails.. dissonance and a wall of sound. Not for the faint of heart.

LLNN – Unmaker

Sci-fi heaviness unmatched. One of the most interesting bands at the moment. Earth shattering in every way!
