Jon Theodore (ONE DAY AS A LION drummer, ex-THE MARS VOLTA) has joined GIRAFFE TONGUE ORCHESTRA, a band featuring THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN guitarist Ben Weinman, ex-JANE’s ADDICTION‘s bassist Eric Avery and MASTODON‘s Brent Hinds.

GIRAFFE TONGUE is guitarist Ben Weinman (THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN), guitarist Brent Hinds (MASTODON) bassist Eric Avery (ex-JANE’S ADDICTION) and drummer Thomas Pridgen (ex-THE MARS VOLTA). Weinman seems to be taking the lead on the project, as he and bassist Eric Avery have been jamming in his house and both he and Avery have been tweeting about the events. Weinman has hinted that they are planning to release snippets as the project progresses.
Weinman confirmed Theodore’s joining on December 22 during an interview for WFMU-FM.
