American punk band THE WARRIORS have released a re-recorded version of their single “Foreign Pain.” The single first appeared on their seminal debut War Is Hell and has been re-recorded in honour of the album’s 20-year anniversary.
“Foreign Pain” is a prime example of The Warriors’ singular sound. Bold riffs, heavy grooves, signature guitar leads, along with undeniable vocal hooks has been the essence of The Warriors sound– a legacy built over the past two decades.
Throughout their career, the band has been blessed with guest vocal appearances by some of the most important, genre-defining vocalists in hardcore. This revitalisation of “Foreign Pain” is elevated by the featured vocal efforts of Todd Jones, a fellow Oxnard, California native and longtime friend of the band.
The lyrics of “Foreign Pain” highlight the transformative capacity of trauma– a subject that resonates today as much as it did two decades ago.
This explosive track connects the band to their past, present and future, as it will also appear on their upcoming 6th studio album, Burn Yourself Alive, on Pure Noise Records.
