Tennessee hardcore powerhouse, Thirdface, have dropped their latest single “Midian,” from the upcoming album Ministerial Cafeteria, out November 1st via Exploding In Sound Records.
Blending intricate technicality with raw intensity, “Midian” showcases their one-of-a-kind, ferocious take on hardcore. Clocking in at 82 seconds, it packs more wild riffs than most bands fit into an entire album.
The album pushes the band’s sound further, merging elements of punk, grindcore, and noise rock for one of the year’s most inventive aggressive releases. Vocalist Kathryn Edwards explores darker themes, influenced by Clive Barker’s Nightbreed, reflecting the hidden, sometimes nihilistic sides of self.
Ministerial Cafeteria follows their acclaimed 2021 release Do It With A Smile and is packed with visceral energy. Edwards dives into personal and societal struggles, while the band’s intricate and relentless sound keeps listeners on edge.
Tour dates supporting Chat Pile and Mamaleek kick off this fall.
