THIS WILL DESTROY YOU Drops Surprise New LP!

2 mins read

New Others Part Two is the unexpected sixth studio album from instrumental/post-rock heroes THIS WILL DESTROY YOU. The stunning sequel to New Others Part One, issued on September 28th via Dark Operative, was again captured by John Congleton, the Grammy award-winning producer responsible for the sound of the band’s wildly popular self-titled sophomore album of ten years ago. Now comprised of core members Jeremy Galindo and Christopher King with the addition of drummer Robi Gonzalez, New Others Part Two continues in the band’s new tradition of a familiar, but evolved ethos wherein the memorable melodic component present in their early work once again soars atop progressive sonic territories for the band and listener alike.

Physical copies of New Others Part Two feature the artwork and photography of Christopher King. Inside, purchasers will find a highly unusual extra insert featuring a QR code that will take the bold on a journey involving their browser, their phone, and their full capacity for the esoteric. Exclusive vinyl colors are now available through RevHQ (distro and mailorder), the band on tour, and Dark Operative’s own mailorder.

New Others Part One and Two are available on CD, LP and digitally. For physical orders, visit the Dark Operative store HERE. For digital orders, go to the Dark Operative Bandcamp page HERE.

In conjunction with the release of New Others Part Two, THIS WILL DESTROY YOU will kick off their anticipated North American headlining tour in Phoenix, Arizona. The journey will make its way through over two dozen cities upon its conclusion November 17th in San Diego, California. Support will be provided by a host of eclectic performers including Arizona rock unit Rotting Yellow, Illinois-based post-industrial sorcerer Steve Hauschildt, Maryland dark ambient soloist Carl Gene, renowned New York cellist Clarice Jensen, and Oregon post-rock ensemble This Patch Of Sky on select dates. In December, the band will bring their odes to Asia for a final week-long trek to close out the year. See all confirmed dates below.
