Well it’s been a long time coming and to say the least, the final product of these recording sessions surprises even me. I had the intention of recording a full album while in Greece, but when I arrived the course changed due to many factors. What happened is I learned a lot about recording, mixing, and mastering (having had little prior experience), which as an independent artist are ultimately more important than rushing to release an album. I didn’t actually manage to put a band together but these songs needed the energy of live music. So this short EP is something solid after a lot of learning, a lot of writing, a lot of rewriting, and a lot of pent up energy. The central theme of this EP is about finding your true self in the absence of a true “god.” It is unpolished and underworked in its presentation, but the sincerity of it might just grow on you.
