THE YOUNG HEARTS

Talking about the album Craig Lawrence says ‘It is so exciting to announce our debut album release date. It is a huge milestone for any band, and we are really pleased to have Year Of The Rat Records working with us on this. The album has been a long time in the making. We actually nearly signed to a US label, but decided that after not hearing back to several emails we would keep this release with a label that we know we can trust, having worked with James at Saviour Management for the past few years. We hope you all love this album as much as we do. It’s been a few years in the making and we are really proud of it as a body of work’

New single ‘The Modern State’ is all about growing older and focusses on societal pressures and expectations. Singer Craig Lawrence says – ‘‘This is about approaching 30, an age where some time ago you’d be expected to have your life in order. A steady job, a mortgage, married, possibly children, everything our parents had when they reached that age. These days however, it feels like you’re still figuring everything out, the same way you did at 20. Getting to that milestone age actually turns out to be nothing like how you always expected it to be growing up. You’re still only getting older.’
