UK melodic rockers HELL’S DITCH share new single “Ghosts”

1 min read

Hailing from the metropolitan expanses of the North West and Midlands, Hell’s Ditch is an up-and-coming British punk rock collective possessing an unwavering commitment and fervent spirit, intent on igniting a fresh revolution within our borders. On 23rd March 2023, the band will unfurl their inaugural EP, “Take Cover,” under the Silent Cult label, firmly establishing their status as one of the most electrifying emerging punk outfits on the subterranean scene. Coinciding with the announcement of their forthcoming EP, Hell’s Ditch has unveiled their latest single, “Ghosts,” available now via Silent Cult.

The single has the band focusing on the emotional and mental toll of society’s hunger for success and validation, as vocalist, Nick Davis, explains: “Ghosts is about the hanging weight of the past, the present and the future. Capitalism puts a premium on individual success, which leads people to feel like their failing if they don’t achieve certain goals or milestones. It’s all too easy to plant trees, grow them, and then cut them down inside the confines of your own head. I wrote most of the lyrics while watching my cats seemingly stare at nothing on the ceiling”.

Although Hell’s Ditch is a new entity the members are no newcomers to the scene, coming together from well-loved underground UK punk bands. They earned their stripes by previously sharing stages with the likes of Anti-Flag, H2O, Mad Caddies, Joyce Manor and playing festivals like Groezrock, Rebellion and Download.

The release of ‘Ghosts’ follows previous single ‘Take The Night Off’ which quickly garnered coverage from Rock Sound, Gigwise, Total Rock, Distorted Sound Magazine and featured on BBC Radio 1’s ‘Future Alternative’ show, as well as official playlisting from YouTube Music and Deezer.

Their new single also comes off the back of a busy touring schedule alongside international bands like Kali Masi and invitations to grace Manchester Punk Fest, Vegan Camp Out, Right To Roam Festival and a debutant international show at Germany’s Booze Cruise Festival. The band recently embarked on their first UK headliner tour this February with further dates to be announced in due course.

‘Take Cover’ the debut EP from Hell’s Ditch drops on 23rd March via Silent Cult.
