The band commented:
Wow. We could not have done this without you. The gratitude we have can’t be expressed. We’ve been Underoath. Thank you for listening.
Tonight was the final show of the Underoath farewell tour. I grew up listening to them, and they’re the ones who sparked the fire for me enjoying metal music. I was at school when i heard about them parting, and i just cried, my friends didn’t really understand and they just told me it was dumb for me to cry over a band, but they didn’t understand. They still dont understand what this band has meant to me over the years. To watch a band evolve over time is one of the best things in the world and until you experience it yourself you dont know how it feels. To see them just starting out at as christian metal group to what they are today just makes me so happy. They deserve everything that has ever happend to them, every fan, every record, every penny they’ve earned. They deserve every ounce of it. Because they have made in impact on peoples lives. They have touched the hearts of so many people out there. Because of Underoath, people have held on. Because of Underoath, people have been inspired to write music and use their talents to their fullest. Because of Underoath, the world is truly a better place. So thanks you guys, for everything you’ve done over these years, they have meant the world to us all, and with out you there would be no us. Thank you for impacting my life.
Sincerely, the entire Underoath fan base. or just me.Underoath, I want to thank you for everything you have done for me and the rest of your fan base. Tonight was amazing. You put on a great final show, I really could not have pictured anything better. You have been so loyal to all of us and always giving us your best, and that is all a fan can really ask for. I’ve been listening to you since the early days and saw you for the first time in 6th Grade, and you are the band I’ve truly grown up with. Through all the tough times, your music has been what gets people out of difficult situations, and I for one definitely appreciate it. Good luck with all of your new ventures, and if you ever want to come back for a couple of shows Tampa is more than happy to welcome you back. Once again, thank you for everything. You will forever be my favorite band, and all of your fans can agree that you will be greatly missed. Long Live Underoath.
Thank you so much for the years of music. The people who have cycled through this band have gotten me through some of the hardest parts of my life. And watching the evolution of this band has been amazing. Underoath will ALWAYS be my favorite band of all time, so again, endless thanks. Blessings.
