Midwest deathcore / mathcore / grindcore act SEE YOU NEXT TUESDAY released two full-length studio albums through Ferret Music in 2007 and 2008 before disbanding in 2009. Six years later they announced that they would make a one-off appearance to perform at Don’t Call It A Fest II in 2015 and performed a handful of further shows after the festival gig. Two days ago the band released their first new song in fourteen years titled “Hey Look, No Crying”, and announced their upcoming third album, “Distractions”, coming up on February 17, 2023 on Good Fight Music.
“In 2008, when we released “Intervals”, we added a ticking clock to the end of the record.” – says the band. “Although its main purpose was to just push the album past the 30-minute mark, we did have full intentions of having it lead into a third album at the time. But as most of you know, things happened. We all found new careers, new hobbies, new lives… new distractions…”
“Fast forward to now, 2022. I think we can officially say the clock has stopped ticking. We are beyond excited to announce that we will finally be releasing our third album, “Distractions”!!! Set to be released in February of 2023.”
Speaking about the new album, they add: “We put over two years of everything we had into this album, and we can’t wait for you all to hear it! Pre-order is live now over on Good Fight’s site!”
All vinyl available through Good Fight Music and Deathwish Inc. were sold out in just under 38 hours!
“We did not see that coming.” – admits the band. “The overwhelming support welcoming us back and positive feedback has been amazing. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts! We still have merch available, including an incredibly limited cassette tape version of “Distractions” with a completely different art layout. Only 50 of the green variant are being made. Last we knew there around 7 left of that green variant. So, snag one up along with a new shirt or something else if you can. It all helps us out a lot towards being able to do more for you in the future.”
