The fourth annual Damaged City Fest from Washington, D.C. will once again highlight some of the most exciting hardcore and punk from around the world over the course of four days on the weekend of April 7-10th. Headliners for this year include a special exclusive show by Japanese punk legends SYSTEMATIC DEATH along with ZERO BOYS, the iconic 80’s Bay Area AVENGERS and more recent favorite SHEER MAG. The festival prides itself in its do-it-yourself ethics and venues, taking place in mostly non-conventional locations: various NW churches and small bars for the after shows. Tickets just went on sale for the event here.

Damaged City Fest is a celebration of hardcore punk in the nation’s capital. The fourth annual event will occur on April 7th-10th. This year we will not be hosting the event at St. Stephens Church, but instead we have two different venues for the main shows – that are both within the same immediate area as last year (both are within quick walking distance of the Columbia Heights Metro Station).
We will host a Thursday show at The Pinch this year, which is the same venue as where we always have the Friday and Saturday after shows. The Pinch is still located within walking distance of both main-show venues. The Sunday show will take place at The Black Cat – an established long-running venue in downtown Washington, D.C., also located very close to a metro station. A limited quantity of two-day and three-day passes for the main-stage shows are now available.
With the help of Sarah O’Donoghue, Farrah Skeiky, and Mike Gorup, this year we will host an art exhibition highlighting the talented work of various members of the punk community. This art show will take place on Sunday afternoon at Open Studio DC, well before the Sunday night show at The Black Cat.
