TITLE FIGHT commented on the recent shutdown of Redwood Artspace in Wilkes-Barre.
If you didn’t already know, Redwood Art Space, our local venue in Wilkes-Barre, was recently shut down. We are in the process of moving, but the cost is pretty hefty. We are setting up a kick starter which will be up in the next couple of days, so please an eye out for that. In the meantime, we are accepting PayPal donations at [email protected] to everyone who supported the venue over the past year, and we will see you soon at the new location.
The venue crew posted the following:
On Monday we had our final show at 740 Jumper Rd. Although we had a great run for over a year, we are already working on our next location. We put in a lot of work into Jumper Rd, but we will have to put even more into the new space from getting new and improved PA equipment to knocking down and painting walls. As all the costs started to add up, we realized that we really didn’t have the funds for everything that we would need to do to get our new venue in the condition it needs to be in. We decided to start a Kick Starter to hopefully help raise enough money to help us get on our feet. We have prizes from bands such as Title Fight, Tigers Jaw, Dead End Path, Disengage, and others. For your donation, you will be rewarded with limited records and shirts from the bands. So again, thanks to everyone for all your support over the past year. We couldn’t have made this far without you. We plan to have the new venue up and running by August, so these donations would be put right to use. Thank you and see you soon.
