The session also features ‘Skin’ and ‘Deadweight’ – both taken from YOUTH MAN‘s recently released EP ‘Hill of Knives’. The band are currently in the middle of a UK headline tour in support of the new record, with forthcoming appearances at Reading & Leeds Festival, Afropunk Festival, Wickerman Festival, Hevy Fest, One Beat Fest and more to be announced.

Live At The Lab is a brand new series of filmed live sessions focusing on bringing the best bands the UK has to offer to a wider audience, performing live in session at Soundlab Studios, Essex.

“We wanted to focus on showing people great bands from the UK underground scene in the most natural way possible” comments director Jack Longman “and to us that’s via a live performance. In this episode we have Youth Man from Birmingham tearing the studio to bits with three raging tracks. Make sure to check them out live on their headline tour – as you can see from the session, these guys absolutely kill it.”

You can download the live tracks from the session at this location.

Recorded in October 2014 with long-time friend of the band Isaac Cartwright at Muthers Studio in Birmingham, the new EP has already stacked up critical praise fromRolling Stone, Alternative Press, BBC Radio One, NME, Clash Magazine, Artrocker, Drowned In Sound, Rock Sound, DIY and many more.
