Due to the venue’s capacity being exceeded, a concert by English crust punks DOOM resulted in a tragic outcome. A bunch of people suffered life-threatening injuries, while 3 were killed. An investigation is being conducted as we speak.
“According to the information given by the administrator, the concert hall and the event had all the required authorizations, but too many people pushed their way into the place. Furthermore, there were more people from the street who continued to press to enter the place which caused the collapse of a containment fence that fell on the people who were in the premises.” / DigitalJournal.com
The concert took place at The San Martin Club and was a part of the band’s South American tour (detailed n the flyer below).
DOOM was formed in 1987 in Birmingham, England and are one of the most influential crust punk / anarcho punk bands in the history of music. The current lineup features two original memebers: guitarist Bri Doom and drummer Tony “Stick” Dickens.
