Emo punk rockers KIDBROTHER release new video “A Draught I Want”

1 min read

Soon after their recent record announcement, London-based emo/punk quintet, KIDBROTHER are back with a new single/video, ‘A Draught I Want’ through Say Something Records! Watch and listen below.

Tipped as an “Exposure Hot One” by Radio X’s John Kennedy, ‘A Draught I Want’ puts you right in the centre of what KidBrother is all about. With furious passion and an arena size chorus that soars over an aggressive musical backdrop, this band keeps you guessing from start to finish.

With influences such as Letlive, Circa Survive and Alexisonfire, KidBrother‘s very own distinctive dual vocals mix the gravelly tones of frontman, Jamie Carrington, and the pitch-perfect highs of bass player, Ffin Colley, into a truly indefectible partnership.

Speaking on the new single, bass player, Ffin Colley says,

“‘A Draught I Want’ is a song about opportunity. It’s about when you have a door slammed so violently in your face, violent enough to crack the frame, it will often blow out the window behind you. All it takes to seize that opportunity is a slight repositioning, adjustment of your perspective and the decision to continue.

“I tried to present the lyrics in a way that honestly reflected how I feel when I struggle creatively, how there’s always an inner conflict and how it has (so far) always resolved the same.”

To celebrate the release of the new single, the band have put together a very special single release party, taking place on the Tamesis Dock Boat in Vauxhall, London on the 30th March. KID BROTHER have invited special guests Bellevue Days, Coldbones and Pretty Pistol along for the ride. Tickets on sale through DICE FM now!
