A little less than a month before its official premiere on September 19th, โHow We Feelโ, and soon after our recent new track premiere, the newest offering from French powerful, emotional hardcore band DRAWBACKS gets a new proper trailer through a new music video for “Empathy”! Itโs the first song that we write for the album, it came when the band was really put aside in our lives but we still wanted to playe music together, and we were like ok letโs play what we want to play, and see what comes.
We were feeling this as the right way to write music and enjoying it 100% and thatโs what came out as a first song for a new record.
We wanted to make a music video because in a way this first song we wrote is important for us because maybe without the energy we had writing it, ยซ how we feel ยป would never have existed.
Lyrics are made by our singer that needed to externalize his feelings.
Thatโs how we works for the lyrics, we are 3 to write lyrics for different songs on the album, but always about feelings we have in mind that we can sometimes not express or tell/show to people directly.
Thatโs why we decided to entitle our record ยซ How We Feel ยป.
“Empathy” Lyrics:
I wonโt live as ignorants live. I got a heart, full of life, full of love and full of blood. And Iโll use it as long as I can. I swore to act for, and by love. Not by hate. I made this choice, having a heart could take us far. Hate is the only machine human race made. History always remains wars but human dig victories. Iโm not of those who forget their empathy, and Iโm proud of it. Forward my ideas, my heart is all I have. If Iโm without answer, I question it. It is not a god, itโs a guide. Everywhere down here, they force us to think we should not listen to love, listen to others. But anyway I prefer to be alone, than being a fool. I chose integrity, over corruption of mind.
