Americana tinged emo indie band CONVALESCENT have shared their debut EP “I Swear I’m Trying”. The spacey 6-tracker has been made availabl for streaming via Spotify and can be heard below.

On “I Swear I’m Trying”, the Asheville, North Carolina based project swirls the melancholy fog and enriches it with the lovely bright tones that help run a definitive feeling of hope throughout. The EP’s direction, purpose and own identity crystalizes on the way as it goes along. Sonically stimulating, quality offering from an unknown band that has everything to become something bigger in their local indie scene and beyond.

“I named this EP I Swear I’m Trying because that’s mainly what these songs are about.” – says the band’s frontman Joel Ragan.

“Trying to find fulfillment, trying to push through low points, trying to understand what life is about. I think that writing these songs and seeing them come to fruition be it in recordings or playing them live is a step in that direction”
