Hardcore pack HAYWIRE 617 drops new heavy jam “Feeling Depressed”

1 min read

Boston’s own HAYWIRE (617) just dropped their new single “Feeling Depressed”, off their upcoming EP “For Better or For Worse,” set for release on November 7, 2024, via DAZE.

“Feeling Depressed” delivers with outright lyrics, bouncy grooves, and a tough as nails breakdown. Vocalist Austin’s gruff hollers channel the Boston sound bands like Slapshot, SSD, and DYS cemented. The track was recorded with Will Hirst and Austin Sparkman, mixed by Taylor Young at The Pit and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audioseige.

Not to be confused with the German band HAYWIRE, which we’ve covered in the magazine before, HAYWIRE 617 brings a fierce energy straight from the brains of Austin. If you’re into bands like THINK I CARE, RIVAL MOB, and BREAKDOWN, this is the type of raw, no-nonsense hardcore you’d expect.

DAZE has been consistently dropping heavy releases, and with HAYWIRE’s debut, they’re keeping that streak alive. Pre-orders for the EP are up, with a full digital discography option that includes 94 DAZE releases at a solid 70% discount. The EP features guest spots from Fizzy (LOOSEY) on “Clocktower Place” and Mat & Mirsy on an acoustic track, “Love Song.”
