Today, Haywire release For Better Or For Worse, a mix of hardcore rippers and songs for sad times. The four track EP from the Boston hardcore band marks the band’s second release this year, following January’s well received debut album Conditioned For Demolition.
For Better Or For Worse features three new songs showcasing Haywire’s ability to write in your face hardcore tracks and also sad, catchy punk ballads. “Feeling Depressed?” and “Ox Must Plow” find Haywire in full effect.
On “Clocktower Place,” Fizzy of Loosey and The New York Hounds takes the lead on vocals. The video for the bluesy track finds Fizzy and the band on an old school adventure and can be watched HERE.
A new acoustic rendition of “Love Song” from Haywire’s debut closes out the EP. On it, Mat Kerekes of Citizen performs vocals and guitar, with additional vocals fromMarisa of Mirsy and Fleshwater, giving a fresh take to emotive track. The EP was was recorded with Will Hirst and Austin Sparkman, mixed by Taylor Young at The Pit and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audioseige.
