EAST OF THE WALL US tour dates

March 12, 2012
2 mins read

EAST OF THE WALL‘s month-long US tour is now underway, the Jersey technical progressive metal practitioners having kicked off the festivities in their home state last week.

Following the release of their third LP, The Apologist, New Jersey-based quintet EAST OF THE WALL have just confirmed a month-long tour of the country this March and into April.

Having already endured a rigorous self-booked trek of America in the Fall months, this second wave of touring in support of The Apologist will see EAST OF THE WALL laying down their oppressively technical wall of progressive metal dissonance alongside Black Tusk for the entire trek. Performances with Prong, Skeletonwitch, Royal Thunder, Intronaut, Gaza and more killer acts fuel the tour as well. A full list of confirmed dates is listed below, with more to be confirmed and added in the days ahead.

Following years of booking their own shows and tours, EAST OF THE WALL have recently partnered with The Pantheon Agency, and through this new alliance the band plan on dominating stages for the rest of 2012.

Recorded by Andrew Schneider at Translator Audio in Brooklyn (Cave In, Pelican, Keelhaul, Unsane, Rosetta), The Apologist undoubtedly portrays the most challenging and groundbreaking EAST OF THE WALL tunes yet, with incredible response from magazines, local newspapers, blogs and through diehard metal and progressive fanbases across the globe still coming in. Released in late October, the CD/digital release of the album was handled by Translation Loss and the 2xLP via Antithetic Records.

โ€œImagine the metallic flourishes of the math-rock band Don Caballero lasting much longer, the bombastic gruff of Botch injected with melody, and some super-tight, jazz-inspired guitar work.โ€ โ€“ NPR

โ€œโ€ฆan exemplary bit of complexity dominated by hardcore roars (sometimes ganged) and the all-but inevitable hammerfallโ€“instrumental filligree encircles vocal harmonies like a network of fast-growing sentient vines.โ€ โ€“ Decibel

โ€œโ€ฆone of those albums you have to hear to believe. 10/10โ€ณ โ€“ American Aftermath

โ€œโ€ฆ the same wonky, jazzy, proggy via post-hardcore East of the Wall-ismsโ€ฆ but done in new ways, evolved to the next level, more ambitious.โ€ โ€“ MetalSucks

โ€œItโ€™s progressive metal in the truest sense of the word. This album is as raw and musically uncompromising as they come.โ€ โ€“ Alternative Matter
