Featured on IDIOTEQ with his previous projects of I USED TO BE A SPARROW and SONGS FOR THE SLEEPWALKERS, the natural talent of Andrea Caccese seems to only beginning to tap into his potential. I’ve been following his evolution and it’s been a pleasure spectating his growth. Andrea has been playing in several bands across Europe over the past few years, but he recently moved to New York City, where he started a solo project called NOWHERE, trying to combine earnest folk with post-rock / shoegaze textures. His debut effort in this new area is called “Follow” and rest assured that it won’t disappoint.
Nowhere channels the eclectic patchwork of genres, places and experiences that define the voice of Brooklyn-based songwriter Andrea Caccese.
Following his involvement within a plethora of independent European bands, including recent projects such as Scandinavian dream-pop duo “I Used To Be A Sparrow” and post-rock band “Feed Me To The Waves”, Andrea relocated to New York City, where he keeps creating music.
Nowhere embraces a sparse and intimate concoction of folk fragility, punk rock immediacy and shoegaze textures, as personal lyricism unfolds through understated acoustic melodies and haunting atmospheres.
